First of all, I’m sorry I’ve been a bit absentee this week! I am getting back into the rhythm of blogging after the holiday ; )
Speaking of holidays, I wanted to post inspiration pics to preview a simple DIY project I’m hoping to execute this weekend, pending the availability of cut Amaryllis and some spare time.
It will combine the clean topiary look of this (courtesy of Paula Pryke’s Decorating With Flowers)
With the cranberry filled glass vase of this image (courtesy of Apartment Therapy):
With the cool effect of this star shaped container (From Nico DeStewart’s amazing inspiration book Living with Flowers)
All using this economical and cute glass star shaped vase from Ikea:
The vase is $10 and this can be done with a single stalk of Amaryllis (each has 5 – 6 blooms) or by clustering a few stalks as seen here, so I believe this project can come in at under my magic DIY centerpiece price point of $20!
