Another great thing about kumquats is that they’re small enough to display in creative ways – I love them as a “side dish” or even filling the vase itself. Here are three great examples!
This is from Real Simple, features my favorite underrated flower Peruvian Lilies, and there is a recipe for making it here:
Here kumquats accent a table and look really sweet marking each place setting. I believe this image is from The Brides Cafe:
And I love this “flowers with a side of Kumquats” image as well – it’s a nice segue because it has kumquats with tropical protea, one of two great designs with this combo I found, and such a fresh combination. This is from Inside Voice:
And here is the other lovely kumquat + protea design. I think this one is particularly cool because it’s in an urn and doesn’t have an overall tropical feel, indeed it feels sort of Tuscan to me, but the protea slipped in and looks great! This is from Colorado’s Bella Fiore.
Here are Kumquats all by themselves, in a nest of herbs. This is so sweet, so springy and innocent but still a little bit funky. I was dying to have our ring bearer carry one of these, but alas, kumquats are not in season in early June, and clementines just wouldn’t rest in a little nest the same way! This design is by Studio Choo.
And it coordinates with this bouquet, whose sherbet color palette is one of my favorites, ever!
Believe it or not, there is a part four to this kumquat extravaganza! More small orange oblong inspiration to follow tomorrow!
