Cake topper flowers usually seem like sort of an after though – just an accent to whatever other cake decoration is going on, or kept super simple. I like that look – a single massive peony for example. But lately I’ve seen a few cakes that have caught my eye – they’re almost platforms or containers for a super beautiful floral arrangement in its own right.
Hope you enjoy these – I wouldn’t want to eat them, they’re too pretty!
This one is from Francoise Weeks of the Pacific Northwest. I see roses, poppy pods, hypericum berries, cymbidium orchids, and it looks like some freesia, perhaps some nerine, and maybe even some heather in there. Just such a pretty mix.
This photo is from Snippet and Ink– I LOVE the blushing bride protea on the bottom layer! And the use of peonies still in bud form. So beautiful!
And these guys are from Martha – they look like little presents. I’ve always loved the idea of having a mini cake on each table as the centerpiece, and with flowers like this on the top, you could certainly carry it off!
