A Very Floral Birthday Weekend

So excited to be heading into this weekend! I can’t think of a better way to spend my actual birthday than the class I’m taking at Rene Van Rems‘ studio this Sunday, Hands-On Wedding Tablescape and Party Decor! I will bring my camera and can’t wait to blog about all of the tablescape-y goodness

I’ve also gotten some really sweet floral themed presents (that were not clearly marked “Do Not Open Until Sunday October 30th,” and therefore I opened them as they arrived ; ) One is the fiction book The Language of Flowers , and the other is an amazing custom etched Floret Cadet mug from my sister in law (it feels so weird and cool to say that I have a sister in law!)

I also finally sprung for some more garden roses yesterday.  It’s only my third time buying them because I can never stomach the price tag, but they’re worth it! I got the lovely White O’Hara roses, with the palest peach/apricot colored centers, and some cool dark burgundy stuff to pair them with, like Chocolate Cosmos.  Pics, of course, to follow after they open fully and get all arranged!
