Favorite new foilage

Along with some sweet new rose varieties, I’ve fallen in love with two new foliage varieties recently too. ¬†Unfortunately, I only have the phonetic spelling of this first variety from the wholesaler, and it didn’t yield any google results – so if anyone knows how this stuff is actually spelled, please let me know! It was imported from Holland and is just the most delightful stuff – airy little baubles on spring green stalks. ¬† They told me Tillasphia, and I’ve tried googling various possible alternate spellings, all of which are just getting suggestions for Tilapia ; ) But I hope to see this stuff again some day!

More common but still new to me is knifeblade acacia – this stuff almost shifts colors from gray-green to blue-green to touches of purple and it looked awesome with some fall dahlias I picked up the other day!

Sally Castellini - Hi, Kate. Love your site and designs…filled with inspiration!
I believe the top photo of your new favorite foliage is pepper grass, which grows around our farm here in NJ.

flowers by busy b - Hi Kate,

Tillasphia is called thlaspi green bell. i bought some this weekend and love the stuff too. i remembered reading this post sometime ago and thought you might find the proper spelling helpful.

Love your work, this blog and all the helpful information that you share, particularly to a budding florist like me.
