Category Archives: The Business Of Flowers A couple of months ago, I had a great conversation with Peggy Ridgeway of the Bloomin’ News, the publication of LA’s original flower market. The resulting interview is in their current issue, and now readable as a PDF download on their website. Just wanted to share…it was fun!  So at the very end of my large scale design class, before I boarded my plane home, I poked my nosy self into the back room, where the school’s photo and video studio is housed. It was almost equally exciting to me as the floral design part of the studio! I think I might love…  I am a big fan of making arrangements using tape grids, so of course I was intrigued when I saw trade ads for the Floralgrid, which is basically a pre made tape grid for floral arrangements. I got my hands on a starter pack, and used one to make a basic arrangement the other night…. |
