Wedding Video by Jakphoto

Excited to share the wedding video from Camila and Shaun’s wedding in late April – it’s by the talented Kiera of Jakphoto.

She was first on my radar because she shot an amazing vendor intro video for photographer Candice Benjamin’s website – check it out here.  I loved it and though something similar would make a lot of sense for a florist! I still plan to shoot my own bio video with her in the future, so that prospective brides and grooms can get a sense of my style and personality before we even meet in person – but I’m putting marketing and business development stuff like that on hold until after the baby arrives so things don’t get too hectic.

Anyhow, I was so happy to see Kiera on Camila and Shaun’s wedding day and knew they were in great hands – check out their video!  I can’t wait to see their professional photos, by Susan Dean, who was shooting many detail shots with the rare and  lust worthy medium format film!

Garden Flowers

For the first time ever, I have actually attempted to grow flowers, rather than just admire them in their cut form! We bought a bunch of bulbs at Costco earlier this Spring, and just sort of went for it – not a whole lot of planning went into the design, but a few months later, we have flowers springing up everywhere!

The anemones were the first to bloom, followed by some lovely ranunculas, and some day lilies that I don’t even know the proper name of!  Since I took these pics, we have had massive dahlias also begin to bloom – will post some pics of those soon!
